TOAD HALL

A really great collection of over 50 Classic Sports Cars,
mostly English with some Japanese and European ones thrown in.
Lotus, MG, AC, Triumph, Jaguar, Austin Healey, TVR,
Morgan, Jensen Healey, Mini Cooper, Datsun, Ferrari,
BMW, Porsche, Mazda, Bentley and others.

And, of Course they are all red.

If you remember back in your childhood,
or maybe more recently, you probably read the book
or saw the Walt Disney movie
THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS by Kenneth Grahame,
written back in 1908. About a bunch of animal characters
in England in the late 1800s.
The leading guy was Toad, Lord of Toad Hall.
He was totally fascinated by the then new motorcar.
And, all of Toad's cars were red too.
This same fascination is carried forward today
at Toad Hall at the Simmons Homestead Inn
in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts.

This collection of classic sports cars is the private collection
of Bill Putman, and is now being opened up to the public
for the first time. It's open daily from 11 A.M. till 5 P.M.
Admission is $8 per adult, kids 10-15 are $4, kids under 10 free
if they come with their folks. Bring a camera if you want,
or we have some for sale. Also tee shirts, mugs and more.

Toad Hall is located at the Simmons Homestead Inn
288 Scudder Avenue in Hyannis Port.
If you are in Hyannis, just go to the west end of
Main Street to the rotary, take the last exit, which is
Scudder Avenue. Drive past the Sheridan and the Inn
is 1/2 mile out of town on your right. If you are coming in
from Route 6, take Exit 6 (Route 132) and head towards
Hyannis. Go to the second light (Cape Codder Resort on right)
and bear right just before that light. Go to the first right
marked Pitchers Way (Jiffy Lube on corner). Turn right on
Pitchers Way and follow it about 2.6 miles till it ends at
Scudder Avenue. The Inn and Toad Hall are right there.
